LAS VEGAS — Three-time pro road racing class champion Eric Bostrom has joined the Weir Everywhere Racing BMW family of sponsors to promote his proven Backmate product line.
The 1997 AMA SuperTwins, 1998 AMA Formula Xtreme and 2001 AMA SuperSport class champion Bostrom partnered with his friend and aerospace engineer Dustin Bouch to develop the Backmate product line, which makes comprehensive massage-style treatment accessible at home and on the go.
Weir Everywhere Racing BMW rider Travis Wyman uses the Backmate as part of his daily fitness routine, which helped the 2018 MotoAmerica Stock 1000 Class runner-up avoid having back surgery during the 2018-2019 off season.
“I am delighted to have Eric and Backmate on board as a sponsor for the rest of the 2019 season,” Wyman said. “His products delivered incredible results for me, and I am glad the team will be able to showcase them to MotoAmerica fans. The Backmate has helped reverse some of the negative effects my pro road racing career has had on my body, and I know it can have the same kind of life-changing effect on so many more people.”
Bostrom has provided the team with demo products for MotoAmerica fans to try for themselves at the six remaining rounds of the 2019 MotoAmerica season, beginning with the MotoAmerica Championship of Utah on June 15-16.
“I’m happy to support to MotoAmerica’s rising star Travis Wyman and the Weir Everywhere Racing BMW team, while also getting the word out about Backmate pain relief and recovery products,” Bostrom said. “It’s great to give back to the sport that has given me so much, as well as help Travis continue his bid to win BMW’s first MotoAmerica title.
“This partnership helps me share my experience of ineffectively dealing with a cervical spine injury that ultimately shortened my career, as well as demonstrate the amazing set of products that Dustin and I have worked tirelessly to develop. Helping other racers not have to go through what I did fuels my passion for the sport, and Travis can attest to how we have successfully developed natural solutions that produce lasting pain relief and recovery.”

Wyman also will have new t-shirts available for fans to purchase at this coming weekend’s MotoAmerica Championship of Utah. T-shirts are also available for purchase through team sponsor MotoOption at www.shopmotooption.com/products/travis-wyman-tw24-tee.
The 2019 MotoAmerica Championship of Utah will be unlike any other before it, as the MotoAmerica series will use the 2.2-mile East Course for the first time. Wyman possesses considerable experience racing motorcycles and instructing for the Ford Performance School at the Grantsville, Utah, facility, which will hopefully help the team find the optimal set up for its BMW S 1000 RR package quickly.
The Stock 1000 Class takes to the track twice on Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m.-12:50 p.m. Mountain time for its only practice session of the weekend, and again at 4:20 p.m.-4:40 p.m. for its first qualifying session. Qualifying wraps up Sunday morning 10:15 a.m.-10:45 a.m., and the class’ only race of the weekend gets underway at 4:00 p.m.
Live coverage of Sunday’s race is available to MotoAmerica Live+ subscribers. For more information about how to get MotoAmerica Live+ and follow Travis’ championship bid, visit www.motoamericaliveplus.com.
