FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 13, 2018
BRASELTON, Ga. – Attack Performance Herrin Compound Yamaha is pleased to announce its partnership with MotoAmerica Liqui Moly Junior Cup rider Gavin Anthony for the 2018 MotoAmerica season. The partnership will allow 2013 AMA Pro Superbike champion Josh Herrin to work closely with Anthony throughout the season, as well as provide Anthony with transportation of his Graves Yamaha YZF-R3 to all MotoAmerica Liqui Moly Junior Cup rounds.
Anthony scored two podiums in his first season in professional racing and is expecting even stronger results this season. The partnership will enable Anthony, who will be campaigning a Graves-prepped Yamaha R3 and regularly trains at the Herrin Compound, to work even more closely with his mentor.
The partnership will begin with the MotoAmerica season opener this weekend, April 13-15, at the iconic Road Atlanta circuit. The Liqui Moly Junior Cup races will be broadcast live in BeIn Sports and BeIn Sports Connect. Check your local listings to see if BeIn is available from your television provider and broadcast times.
Josh Herrin, rider for Attack Performance Herrin Compound Yamaha, said, “I decided I wanted to help Gavin out this season. With my Herrin Compound brand on our team’s bike, I wanted to bring one of the young riders I work with into the team. Gavin and I train a lot together, and I want to do what I can to widen Gavin’s opportunities in professional road racing. I also want to provide Gavin with the experience of working within a team environment. I am hoping to build this into a rider development program, and I decided I wanted to start the process with Gavin as my first rider. Gavin had a great rookie season last year and I am looking forward to what he will be able to accomplish this year.”
Gavin Anthony, rider for Attack Performance Herrin Compound Yamaha, said, “I am really looking forward being a part of the Attack Performance Herrin Compound Yamaha team this year. I have had the privilege of training with Josh Herrin for the last couple years and his Herrin Compound facility and am looking forward to working closely with Josh this season at MotoAmerica events. I had a great year last year, and am looking to achieve even more this season aboard my Graves Yamaha R3. Josh is a very accomplished rider, and I am grateful for the opportunity to train with him for his mentorship. I am really looking forward to learning more about how to become a championship-winning rider from Josh throughout the 2018 MotoAmerica season.”
