The team showed up to Chuckwalla Valley Raceway for a final tune-up before the pro season gets underway and ended up putting on their strongest on-track showing yet. The team/rider combination qualified first and racked up three wins in five races while finishing every race on the podium.

It was the first time this year that the entire Weir Everywhere Racing team was able to work together during a racing weekend, and the team’s on-track performance showed just how potent the combination of talent and experience is. Moreover, all the team’s wins were by margins of less than four-tenths of a second and were the result of close battles and last lap passes.

The team is looking forward to carrying the proven pace and mental toughness they showed at the CVMA event into the opening round of the MotoAmerica series April 13-15 at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Ga.

Travis Wyman, rider for Weir Everywhere Racing, said: “This was a great weekend for us. It was our first weekend racing with the entire team, and we were fast right out of the gate. We were able to take the pole in qualifying, which really helped our weekend. In Saturday’s Supersport Open race we tried a different set-up that did not work the way we planned and had to settle for third-place. We got the bike back into the paddock and went back to our original settings. After that, we took three hard fought wins in a row, including the CVMA Shootout race. I was feeling really confident in the BMW S1000RR package we have and was able to make aggressive moves late in races to lock up our wins. We rounded out the weekend with a second-place in the Supersport Open-class Sunday race. I really want to thank my team for their efforts this weekend. We learned a lot, and I feel really confident heading into the MotoAmerica season opener. I know we are going to be facing some tough
competition in the MotoAmerica Stock 1000 class, but I really feel like we are going to be serious contenders this season.”

Steve Weir, crew chief for Weir Everywhere Racing, said: “This is the best weekend we have had so far. The perfect storm I talked about earlier this year just continues to rage on. This was the first race weekend with everyone on the team present, and it was great having Alex Torres of Fast Line Motorcycle Performance on hand. We had a chance to look at some of our competition this weekend, and really believe we will be contenders in MotoAmerica’s Stock 1000 class. We have a really good handle on this BMW S1000RR package and are looking forward to the start of the MotoAmerica season later this month.”
